Am I required to meet the students in-person?
You don't need to meet any of your students in-person. However, we do encourage an in-person meeting with your student if you are located in the same city, and it’s convenient and appropriate for you.
Situations where you might arrange to meet your student in-person include when:
- You’ll be certifying their documents in-person
- Your student and/or their parents have requested it, or
- You’ve both indicated in your communications that you’d like to build in-person rapport
Sofiri best practice is to meet your student in a public space, such as a café or library.
