The ESOS is a framework that protects and enhances the experiences of overseas students in Australia. All stakeholders involved in the education industry are required to meet ESOS requirements, and follow a national code containing the standards governing the protection of overseas students.
Educational providers and the courses which they offer to international students in Australia must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
